I finally figured out how to apply it, then stretched it out to 4 seconds on my 5-second intro, Essentially, the text does a half-spin as it comes into view. I wanted a nice transition when the text appears on the screen, which is where the spin comes in. ![]() My text is 2D, not 3D, but I added enough of a drop shadow and blur to my text so that it DOES have some depth and dimension and doesn't just look like flat text on a screen or page. I used the Spin transition from the 3D Blinds transition. WHERE on earth can I find the "3D Source Alpha" selection or how to do this? Or cannot it not be done in Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12? It's very frustrating to watch all of these YouTube tutorials and NONE of them match what I see in Platinum 12! I've done searches both online and in the menus and help sections of Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12, but for the life of me, I CANNOT find how to do this! The videos show a long menu list when they click on the compositing icon, but mine only shows two things: "Multiply (Mask)" and "Source Alpha." Online tutorials tell me I need to choose "3D Source Alpha" from the compositing mode icon on a track and then set a value for the Y axis and some keyframes in the track motion dialogue box. I would like to animate some text and make it rotate/spin in 3D. ![]() I'm currently working with a trial version of Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12. I'm also new to video editing in general, so please be gentle.
